GCSE Results Collection Arrangements - Thu 21 August 25
Arrangements for the collection of GCSE results on Thursday 21st August, enrolling with V6 Sixth Form arrangements and destinations support available
Firstly, we would like to wish you the very best of luck ahead of results day. This information sets out:
- the logistics of collecting/receiving results
- the arrangements to enrol into V6 Sixth Form and guidance available for post-16 destinations
- what to do if you want to check something about your results
We look forward to celebrating with students as they receive their hard-earned results and supporting them into their future destinations.
Arrangements for the collection of GCSE results Thursday 21st August
On Results Day, Thursday 21st August, school will be open from 8.30am – 10.30am for students to come in to collect their results from the gym on the main school site via entry to reception to the side of the building.
For students who cannot attend, their results can be emailed to them at 11.00am if we have been supplied with this information in advance. Please complete this Microsoft Form if you would like results sent to your email address. Please note year 11 will not have access to their school email address and therefore any correspondence will be to parents’ emails unless a different one is supplied on this form.
Arrangements to enrol with V6 Sixth Form
Students applying to V6 Sixth Form will need to go to AO3/AO4 to formally enrol with a member of the sixth form leadership team. Staff will be available there to discuss options with any students whose results have not met our entry criteria, or who are considering course changes, or who have general queries regarding V6 Sixth Form.
In addition, all students must have completed our online enrolment form with the essential information we need to enrol them onto their courses in September. which can be accessed here:
Students without a completed enrolment data form will not be able to enrol with us - we advise completing this ahead of Results Day.
Support around post-16 destinations
For students with concerns about next destinations or career planning, our careers lead, Mrs Donovan, will be available in the upstairs café area to support students with next steps, including advice on apprenticeships, alternative post-16 destinations to V6, signposting to specialist careers guidance and any other career related queries.
Resit Pathway and Pathways Programme
Please remember that we have two exciting opportunities available at V6 Sixth Form for students who may be exploring their next steps.
Resit Pathway
Our RESIT pathway offers students the chance to retake GCSE English or Maths alongside an A Level of their choice—provided they have met the subject entry requirements. This is ideal for students who have achieved a Grade 3 in either English or Maths, enabling them to stay on track academically while improving key qualifications.
Pathways Programme
We are also proud to offer our Pathways Programme, a focused route into university/degree level apprenticeships courses in Social Sciences, Education, and Health. Students need to have five GCSEs at Grade 4, and those with a Grade 3 in either English or Maths will still be considered.
These routes provide flexible, supportive options for students who may need an alternative route into sixth form study—and ultimately university. Spaces on these courses are limited.
Mathematics A level entry arrangements for students achieving a grade 6 at GCSE
Students who have applied to take A Level Mathematics but gained a grade 6 in their GCSE Mathematics rather than the entry requirement of grade 7 can potentially still take Mathematics at A Level but must complete the 'Up-skilling' process to show us that mathematics is the right option for them. A pack explaining the 'Up-skilling' process (which includes a short piece of writing and sets of questions) will be distributed when they enroll for V6 Sixth Form on results day and a member of the Maths Team will explain the process required.
